Sweetness meets soft tailoring with this lovely style, designed for fabrics
like denim, corduroy, twill, or heavy linen, but equally yummy in a 
double knit, or any medium or lightweight coat fabric. 

Slim-fit Coat has shoulder Princess seams, Mandarin collar, and optional lining. 
Coat features patch pockets with flaps, 2-piece below elbow length sleeves and
 half-belt trim on the back and cuffs. Piping, stitch trim plus a concealed front 
button fastening gives a clean finish. Coat has a gently flared shape and finishes
 just above the knee.

Sizes 6-8-10 need around 2 3/8 yards of fabric plus around 2 yards of lining; sizes 12-14-16-18 need around 2 1/2 yards of fabric plus around 2 1/8 yards of lining; and sizes 20-22-24-26 need around 2 5/8 yards of fabric plus around 2 1/4 yards of lining.

All yardages are for 60” / 150 cm wide fabric.

You will also need about 1 yard fusible interfacing, about 12 yards contrast piping cord, 4 x 3/4” / 19 mm buttons, 5 x 1” / 25 mm buttons, 2 yards of 1 1/2”/ 4 cm wide grosgrain ribbon (to match the coat) and 1 skein of embroidery silk (to match the contrast piping).

We recommend that you use a pair of shoulder pads- we got great results with a pair of 3/8” / 12 mm deep raglan shoulder pads.
