Understated glamour with this fabulously refined look, designed for classic shirt-weight fabrics like linen, pique, chambray, and firm silks or cottons. For a more relaxed version, this style will also work in drapey fabrics like crepe, rayon, washed silk, or even knit jersey.

Semi-fitted shirt has faux-collar detail at front, front bib with concealed buttons, and yoke. Choose from three lengths...shirt, tunic or knee-length shirtdress...with optional front and back pleats and, for the tunic and shirtdress versions, optional side seam hem gussets. Shirt offers three sleeve length options... short, elbow length or 3/4 length, all finished with a deep turned-back French cuff.

This great style will become one of your ‘go-to’ looks...wear the shirt tucked into a slick pencil skirt, or loose over some slim tailored menswear-style pants; try the tunic version over a wide, loose pant and pull on the shirtdress version anytime you need a quick, easy but fabulous daytime look!

For the short or elbow-length sleeved shirt versions, sizes 6-8-10-12-14-16-18 need around 2 yards/ 1.83 m of fabric; sizes 20-22-24-26 need around 2 1/2 yards/ 2.30 m of fabric. If you want to make the tunic, add an extra 1/4yard/ 22 cm of fabric; if you want to make the shirtdress, add an extra 1/2 yard/ 45 cm of fabric; and if you wish to make the 3/4 sleeved version; add 1/4 yard or 22 cm of fabric. You’ll also need 5 x 1/2” / 13 mm buttons, a piece of lightweight lining about 1/4 yard / 22 cm long and 3/4 yard/ 70cm of lightweight fusible interfacing.

All fabric amounts are for 60” or 150 cm wide fabrics.
