This tunic-dress is the easiest piece of clothing you’ll ever make, and it’s one of the chic-est pieces you’ll ever own. This one is designed for fabrics with drape, so, rayon, viscose, silk(y) charmeuse, chiffon, all-over lace, georgette, crepe, & drapey knits.
Unfitted, pull-over tunic or dress is cut in one piece (really!) and has a bound, scooped front neckline, with an elasticated upper back waist. Tunic-dress features an open back, with a cut-on sleeve/cape/overlay, and finishes above the knee.
Wear this cool piece as a disco-fabulous party dress; team it with a skinny belt & killer heels, or try it worn loose with strappy sandals as a modern mini-kaftan.
Worn as a tunic, this one works beautifully either belted, or loose, over your favorite slim cropped-above-the-ankle tailored pants, with some high or flat gladiator-style sandals.
Add some funky, chunky bijoux and a clutch, and you’re out the door...
Shopping List
All sizes need 2 3/4 yards/252cm of fabric, plus about 20”/50cm of *soft* x 3/8”/1cm wide elastic.
I love this pattern. It is so easy and turned out so well. The cape part at the back looks amazing when worn loose and flows beautifully. I made mine from lightweight viscous. Can't wait to wear it out.
Super Great!

Hot Patterns are the best! Your utube videos are really helpful too, Trudy, because I learn much better visually than by reading so pattern guide sheets have been con fusing in the past but with the videos I'm always says saying " oh, that's so simple".
