Great Tee Shirt Pattern
Posted by Unknown on 5th Sep 2017
I have made this pattern several times. Twice in stripes and several solids. I love the fit of this tee shirt and will probably make more

Love this pattern!!!

I absolutely LOVE the Fast and Fabulous Shirt Tail T! It is the most comfortable garment I have ever worn. The pattern is true to size for me and the instructions were easy to follow. I've made the striped and plain one and have fabric picked out for the ruffled one. I will be making many of these! I've had many compliments from strangers about my striped version. I also found the show and tell video to be most helpful! Love the pattern and the extra care and effort that goes into the video, It helped me a lot with the neckline. Highly recommend!

I can't stop!
Posted by Silver-haired Fashionista on 24th Feb 2016
After reading all the cudos for this pattern on the Curvy Sewing Collective I decided I had to try it. On the first day I made 3! I wanted one to have 3/4 sleeves so I could wear it right away (I live in Seattle and don't usually wear sleeveless shirts in February). I added a 3/4 sleeve from another pattern and I LOVE it. Since then I ran across a vintage knit border print from my stash and had to have it. Now every fabric I see calls out to me to be a shirt tail tee. I have made both the striped and the solid versions. They are so cute and comfortable. This pattern is generously sized. I normally wear a 14 with some full bust alteration. For this shirt I made a straight 12 and it fits great!

Easy as!

Had to make this pattern 2 sizes smaller and then it was perfect. Will make a few of these comfortable tops out of my stash for home....smart and casual! This is a classic and will suit everyone. I will make some longer for a tunic look. A great pattern!

Addicting--BEWARE!
Posted by Anna Marie on 2nd Aug 2015
I made one t-shirt with the ruffles---loved it! So,..made another without the ruffles---loved it. So,...made another, made another,... These are addicting. Hot Patterns should warn the consumer about the possibility of becoming addicted to this t-shirt pattern! The fit is perfect, it is so flattering (my friends tell me that when I put one on it looks like I have lost 10 pounds), and they are a quick sewing project. I can sew one up quicker than doing laundry for a clean shirt. They are THAT quick and easy!!! I cannot even think of a negative remark when it comes to this pattern. Obviously, I love it!

What A Great Basic!
Posted by Joan Garneau on 15th Jun 2015
After sewing up five of these babies, I find them a great basic to have in my closet. I was worried that people would notice that I am wearing variations of the same style almost every day, but so far nobody seems to have noticed. This pattern sews up really fast and goes together really well. It is a comfortable style and works in hot and humid Florida where I don't want tight clothing sticking to me. Although loose, the pattern does follow my curves while sliding over the tummy I'd just as soon wouldn't be noticed. I do love this pattern and will most likely sew up several more.

Wearable muslin from stash
Posted by Ustabahippie on 12th Jun 2015
I made this up as a wearable muslin fitting pattern for my sister who lives 600 miles away. It's terrific! She just wants it 2" longer. Stripes on the diagonal and upper horizontal sections and solid on the back and lower front. Now she wants 2-3 more! I may never get to my own.

Perfect summer top!
Posted by Suzanne Turgeon on 12th Jun 2015
This looks great on anyone. Super fast to sew and each looks different. I love the neckline treatment! It lays perfectly with no gaps. I made one in a semi sheer knit to wear over a cami and did use a fusible knit interfacing on the cuff because I knew it would be too floppy even tacked down but otherwise made to pattern.
This can be made very dressy or very casual. Trudy, I love many of your patterns but this is my favorite!

Fun! Fun! Fun!
Posted by Brigid on 9th Jun 2015
This is easy to make and looks very fashionable and cute. I used my high bust measurement and did an FBA. It worked great! On my second try I added the extra inch of ease at the bust area and used striped fabric. It wasn't enough for my EE's.
A single knit didn't really hold its shape but an interlock gave this pattern shape

Great fun shirt

I have been having some troubles picking a size in HP lately and ending up with sloppy and big. So I was a size 16 top, size 18 waist and 20 hip. So with careful measuring I cut a straight size 16. Great fit for me. Next time I will add a bit of extra torso length. Maybe 3 inches.
My muslin is completely wearable. Now to get to the stripes!
My muslin was a digital print. This is a great pattern for showing off your cool digital panels.
