Get legs for miles with these elegantly slinky
jeans, designed for stretch denim, but also fab in
stretch corduroy, sateen, twill, gaberdine, velvet,
or brocade...the ‘stretch’ part is essential!
Choose roughly 8oz to12 oz weight fabric with at least
2% stretch fiber content; please avoid jegging fabrics!
Fitted, high rise jeans feature a slim hip and thigh,
with a controlled flare that starts j-u-s-t above the
knee. Jeans have double back darts, a side seam
zipper, long angled front patch pockets & classic
jeans-style back patch pockets, plus belt carriers.
These are the perfect dress-up/dress-down jeans
to wear with a simple top and a fitted jacket, but
the slim fit through the upper leg and the carefully
controlled flare at the hem means they also look
great with a more voluminous, even oversized top
or jacket. Unless you’re blessed with long legs,
you’ll want a heel with these, but you’ll get away
with a teeny-tiny 1½”heel. Or higher, if you’d like!
For the jeans in all sizes 6-8-10-12-14-16-18-20-22-24-26
you’ll need around 2 ½ yards/230cm of fabric;
HOWEVER it’s worth pointing out that cutting one
pair of this style is super-wasteful fabric-wise...
to maximize your ROI we suggest using 4 ½ yards or
412cm and cutting two pairs-suggested cutting layout
is included in the instructions. You’ll also need a 9”/22cm
jeans zipper and one 5/8” or 1.5cm diameter
(jeans) button. 1/4 yard or 23cm interfacing is optional.
Fabric amounts are for 60”/150cm wide fabric.
