bottom-weight fabrics with at least 10% stretch,
like stretch twill, velvet, lightweight corduroy,
suiting, crepe, sateen, and stretch bengaline.
You can also choose a double knit with a little
body and stretch, like ponte, velour and stretch
velvet, French terry and sweatshirting...just
remember, the stretch part is non-negotiable!
Pull-on, elastic waist pants have front & back
topstitched Princess seams for a superior fit...
they are semi-fitted through the hips and upper
thigh, then g-e-n-t-l-y flare out to the hem.
Faux front fly & drawstring at the waist, and the
sideseam front & back patch pockets, are optional.
These will be your new favorites for lounging at
home or running errands, but they’re also slick
enough to wear for casual workdays. Top them
with a cozy sweater; try a sweatshirt or hoodie
for a modern tracksuit; or team them with a
simple T and a soft cardigan or jacket.

you’ll need around 21/2 yards/223cm of fabric.
You’ll also need some ½” or 1.25cm wide soft
elastic, enough to comfortably circle your waist
three times, plus 1/4 yard/ 23cm of 1/2” or 1.25cm
wide ribbon for the optional faux drawstring.
