Description
*This is the print-at-home version in
Arch E, A0, A4 and letter sizes; if you'd

It'€™s always great to have a denim-jacket alternative,
so make yourself this, perfect in denim (of course!),
but also great in medium-weight jacket fabrics like
crepe, canvas, velvet, corduroy, linen, sateen, brocade,
tweed or boucle. You can
also use a firm sweater knit,
French terry, ponte, fleece, or boiled wool.

Unlined & unstructured semi-fitted, hip length jacket
has front and back princess seams, patch pockets, and

3/4 length sleeves with slits at the hems. Jacket has a
stand collar, center back seam and angled shoulder yokes.

Optional topstitching adds a cool-casual vibe; hems are finished with facings.

This great jacket works well with pants and skirts, and it'€™s
a year-round style with just a change of fabric...wear it to
toughen up a pretty dress or blouse, to soften a tailored pant,
or to dress up your jeans; add coverage to a sleeveless
daytime or evening outfit too.

    Beachcomber with alterations

I love this jacket. I've made two out of washer linen and they are great lightweight jackets. I did not care for the two piece sleeve, however, and also thought the notch was in the wrong place so I substituted with a simple sleeve from another jacket. The construction is a bit different - seaming all the facing pieces together before sewing them to the jacket, but it worked. I will be making more for colder weather.
