Get your baaad self into these Superfly Skirts, designed for firm but drapey fabrics like denim, corduroy and cotton velvet-but also pretty darn fabulous in heavy crepe, linen or tropical wool. Unlined, narrow A-line skirt has darts front & back, and a contrast faced waist and hemline. Skirt sits on the natural waist and features center front & back seams, front fly zipper fastening, belt carriers & optional (but oh-so-very highly recommended!) top stitching. Short skirt finishes at the knee; longer version finishes at mid-calf. Wear this great Skirt with our Metropolitan Tie Me Down Top and Seriously Stylin’ Jacket for a groovy workday outfit, or team it with our Weekender Sunshine Tops and a yummy cardigan for a casual look.
Sizes 6-8-10 need around 1 yard for the short skirt and 1 1/2 yards for the longer skirt; sizes 12-14-16-18 need around 1 1/4 yards for the short skirt and 1 3/4 yards for the longer skirt; and sizes 20-22-24-26 need around 1 1/2 yards for the short skirt and 1 3/4 yards for the longer skirt.
All yardages are for 60” /150 cm wide fabric.
You will also need about 1/4 yard fusible interfacing, 3/4 yard contrast (quilting cotton or similar) or lining for the hem & waist linings, 1x 1/2” /13 mm button, a trouser hook & eye and 1 x 8” / 20 cm zipper. Topstitching thread is optional (but recommended!)
