Please wait...Our new coat obsession is this fabulous Dries Van Noten-inspired Parka, designed for crisp or fluid fabrics like silk taffetta, crepe, charmeuse, cotton sateen or even-say it quietly-fleece. Oversized hooded Parka in two lengths has optional lining, slightly dropped shoulders, long sleeves with elasticated cuffs and drawstring ties at the hood, waist & hem. Parka has snap closures along the front band and features patch pockets with flaps. Shorter length finishes at upper thigh; longer length finishes above the knee. Depending on your fabric choices, this stunning piece will work for almost any occasion- make it in satin and wear it over luxe sportswear-inspired pieces for evening wear, try it in fleece over a chunky sweater and jeans for a cosy winter outfit or use a chic wool crepe and wear it with a slick pencil skirt and blouse for a sporty everyday look.
Sizes 6-8-10 need around 3 yards of fabric; sizes 12-14-16-18 need around 3 1/2 yards of fabric; and sizes 20-22-24-26 need around 4 yards of fabric.
If you want to line or interline your Parka, you’ll need the same amount of lining and/or interlining as your fabric.
All sizes require around 1/2 yard of lining.
All yardages are for 60” / 150 cm wide fabric.
You will also need about 1 yard fusible interfacing, 5 yards of cord, 1 yard of 2” / 5 cm wide elastic and 10 x 3/4” / 19 mm snap fasteners for the full length Parka and 9 x 3/4" / 19 mm snap fasteners for the short Parka.
