For a bag all in one fabric, you’ll need around 1 1/4 yards/ 115c m of fabric; for a bag with contrast straps and trim you’ll need around 1/2 yard / 45cm of your main fabric, plus 1 1/4 yards / 115cm yard of your contrast fabric...yes, it’s wasteful and you’ll have a lot of contrast left over, but there’s not a lot to do about it! You’ll also need 1/2 yard / 45cm lining, 1 x 10"/25cm zipper to match your lining and 1 x magnetic purse closure OR 3"/7.5 cm of 2"/5cm wide hook & loop fastening. Add another magnetic closure if you wish, for the bag interior.
