At last! A fabulous hybrid of slouchy, comfy trackpants and slick
tailored trouser, these super-cool pants are designed for a light
to medium-weight drapey fabric... think heavy crepe, hammered
silk, tropical weight wool, rayon suiting or a ponte knit.
Slim cut with a relaxed fit, this pull-on pant has a slightly tapered
silhouette and features a separate, elasticated waistband with faux
drawstring trim, plus side seam pockets.
Pants sit at the natural waist and finish above the ankle with a narrow cuff.
Depending on your fabric choices, this is a year-round, go-anywhere,
do anything piece...you could wear these with an off-the-shoulder
oversized slouchy sweater, a slim-fit short or long sleeved T, or a
close-to the-body sporty-styled zip-up jacket.
For sizes 6-8-10-12-14-16 you’ll need around 2 1/4 yards/200cm of fabric;
for sizes 18-20-22-24-26 you’ll need around 2 1/2 yards/223cm of fabric.
ou’ll also need some 5/8” or 1.5cm wide soft elastic, enough to comfortably
circle your waist three times, plus 1/4 yard/ 23cm of 1/2” or 1.25cm wide
ribbon for the optional faux drawstring.
All fabric amounts are for 60”/150cm wide fabric.
I made these in a double knit and I’ve worn them more than any other pair so far! Because you can use knit or woven, it’s super versatile. I love these!
I love, love, love this pattern. I sewed it more then 5 times and all pants have a different look.
Thanks for this well done pattern design.
these were super comfy for my long distance (14hour) flight
