*This is the classic paper pattern version; if
you just cannot wait to get your hands on this
super-cool pattern, you can
get it as an instant
download in both letter
and A4 size here*

A fresh take on the classic T, this super-wearable
is designed for light to
medium-weight drape-y knits
with a little
stretch, like single fiber or blends of silk,
rayon, bamboo, cotton, or tencel jersey.

Semi-fitted, pull-on T-shirt has a relaxed silhouette,
and features a ‘U’ neckline
and short sleeves, both
finished with
self or contrast knit trim.
The (contrast)
back is gathered onto the yoke, and
finishes with a narrow-hemmed shirt-tail; the front
has a deep hem.

This great T-shirt *obviously* works beautifully in
solid or color-blocked tones, and looks great in
favorite textured, printed and striped knits.

For an unexpected twist, make this with a contrast
back, neckline & sleeve trim, in a complimentary print
or plain fabric. This T is the perfect mix of
casual and
feminine, and it’s going to look great
worn loose or semi-tucked
with your favorite
cropped slim-cut jeans, or a fluid wide leg pant.

Easy to sew, many styles possible

Published by Ina Lusky on 28th Jul 2018

easy and quick to sew, I have choosen a light weight viscose jersey and a light weight chiffon for the back. the best decision for this top. during the hot summerseason wunderful breezy to wear. just 4 stars will I´m missing lines to extend or shorten the length of the top. I´m a short person and the top could be nearly a dress for me. the next shirt, yes there will follow some of them, I try to do it in a shorter length.

    A comfortable, trendy top

Published by LisaG on 13th Mar 2016

As always, Trudy was ahead of the pack with this design. After I bought the pattern and made it, I started seeing versions of this style in all of the stores. I love the contrasting fabrics and the easy fit. I will definitely be pulling this one out again!

    A Great Top

Published by Patti on 19th Oct 2014

A very well made pattern - and a great top. It sews up easily and quickly (look for the sew-a-long tutorial for some great tips.) I made 3 of them - one for me (over 50) and also for my daughter (22) and my daughter-in-law (32). All of us love them. The sizing is quite accurate. Lots of design options and possibilities.

This is the best top pattern on the market. I have been sewing for 50 years and still learned a few tricks from the sew along. Love love the pattern and the results were perfection. I have made three already. More like this Trudy. And please let me in on your secret. You look like a different person. Just beautiful. Mary

    Great easy and interesting top

Published by Toby Wollin on 12th Jul 2014

Easy to sew, clever both front and back, this top is just the thing to add to your wardrobe when you want a knit top but don't want the standard 'ladies' knit top with short sleeves and a crew neck'. If you are tall, make it as-is, but if you are short, do as I did and take out a couple of inches out of the back so that you don't feel overwhelmed by the gathered back. It worked really well for me that way. This top also gives you lots of opportunities for creativity and for using up oddments in the stash as well.

    All ages love this top

    Published by 10ashus on 21st Jun 2014

I had to add this to my recent review. All of my friends were skeptical about my sewing. They are Mall Maivens. I wore my Blouse Back T to the movie matinee today. In the group was a 50, 36, and 13 year old. Here is a testament to how good this pattern is -they all want a top from this pattern. It is a pattern for any age group.
