Layered looks are easy with this chic threesome
of jacket, tank & scarf. Make the tank & scarf in
drape-y, light to medium blouse-weight fabrics like
chiffon, georgette, rayon, charmeuse, crepe or
handkerchief linen; the jacket needs more structure
so choose jacket or bottom weights of crepe, linen,
rayon, soft boucle or tweed, even a supple denim.
Semi-fit V neck pull-on tank features French darts,
center front & back seams. Curved, faced hemline is
slightly higher at the front. Cascade scarf is cut in one
piece; tank neckline & armholes plus scarf edges are edged
with a narrow hem. Cropped semi-fitted jacket has optional
interlining, long 2-piece sleeves, panel seams and half darts
at the bust. Jacket is open along the center back; double-
breast front is worn open. Hems are finished with a facing.
Try this fabulous set together over boyfriend jeans, or wear
the whole shebang with a matching or toning slim cropped
tailored pant, a slim midi-length skirt or a long, fluid pant.
All three pieces also work separately (of course!), so think
about the jacket over a fitted dress, the tank under a cozy
oversized cardigan, and the scarf...well, you’ll be making,
wearing & gifting a lot of these scarves, they’re gorgeous!
For the jacket in sizes 6-8-10-12-14-16 you’ll need around
2 3/8 yards / 218cm fabric;
For the jacket in sizes 18-20-22-24-26 you’ll need around
2 3/4 yards/ 525cm fabric.
Add the same amount of lining & interfacing for an interlined version,
OR about ½ yard/ 45 cm fusible interfacing for a non-interlined version;
you’ll also need 1 pair of 1/2”/1.25cm shoulder pads.
For the tank & scarf in sizes 6-8-10-12-14-16 you’ll need 2 yards / 183cm fabric;
For the tank & scarf in sizes 18-20-22-2-4-26 you’ll need 2 1/4 yards / 206cm fabric.
All fabric amounts are for 60”/150cm wide fabric.
I love this three in one pattern and I bet I will always have at least one version of it made up and in rotation in my wardrobe. I bought this pattern awhile ago and made it up in some heavy white crepe for a wedding and I paired it with a long pencil skirt. I loved the look and received so many compliments. The jacket is so wisely designed...I was unsure of the back when I was making it because it was open at the bottom in an unusual way. That seems to be what makes this jacket wonderful. It is a jacket but in no way is it constricting. I love it and I plan to make another to wear with jeans...this is jacket and tank you need for the summer at the office. You will look so professional!
You can do so many things with the jacket like adding a logo or other designs
I loved this pattern from the moment I saw it. I plan to make a set for spring & summer this weekend. I will also make a set for mum. Hot Patterns came up with a style that women friendly! Also bra friendly. I haven't sewn my versions but just got the fabric & it's gonna rock. You just can't go wrong. It's so chic. Get it as you won't regret it.
