Need a show-stopping piece with some chic, modern
glamour? Choose this gorgeous pattern, designed for
medium to lightweight drape-y wovens like crepe,
charmeuse, panne velvet, crepe-de-chine, or rayon challis.
These will also work beautifully in drape-y knits with
little to no stretch, like linen, lightweight wool or silk(y)
jersey, matte crepe jersey or lightweight double knits.
Unlined, semi-fitted, wrap-over style has dress, tunic
& blouse length options, with Princess seams and a
gently flared A-line skirt...we’ve added an optional
underwrap for gape-free wearing. Bodice features a
disconnected Mandarin collar; waist closes with a
skinny fabric tie. Long slim sleeves have an overarm
seam and flare gently at the wrist; optional (but
highly recommended!) contrast piping or binding
gives a sharp, tailored finish and weights the hems.
These beauties are the answer to all your dress-up
dilemmas...wear the dress as-is, or wear it open
over pants and a simple top as a cool duster; team
the tunic over slim or loose pants for a fabulously
cool pants suit; or try the blouse with a matching
slim midi-length skirt for an elegant 2-piece dress.

    Great blouse In Crepe

Published by Nothy on 11th Dec 2018

I made this pattern as a blouse and it is really a flattering article in my wardrobe. I used an emerald green crepe that I found in the remnants section and I just love it. It is a loose fit but I added a belt and helps to give the blouse some shape. (I kept the side ties but made them less visible because of the belt which ties as well). I wear it for work. I could see making this in a velvet for a fancier outfit.
